If worried, get a digital CO detector to monitor them for a 'test run' to know the limits. Only problem I had was in a truck camper. After 4 hours with no vents open CO got to ppm. But this was with a high effic catalytic heater. Buddy may have given off more CO, but did not test in the TC.

Well, I had bought a regulator, but now I realize following these posts that I bought the wrong one. I really need to connect the regulator directly to the tank and not further up the line, so I need a regulator with a connection that connects directly to the tank. I'm going to look into getting the right regulator.
While any tent heater you find on the market is going to be safe enough to use, you have to think of the practicality of your use. Will it be able to heat up you, the wife, and the kids? Propane are reliable, burn a little faster than butane, and retain their liquid form in colder climates.
