Slade's Xmas Tour in the UK is kicking off soon In conjunction with Paul Cookson, Don has produced a lyric book of all the song lyrics that he wrote for Slade! The booklet has all Don's lyrics in full - plus Don's thoughts on the songs and details of his thought process as he wrote the songs It's a collectors' piece - and includes a wonderful introduction from ex-Slade band mate Jim Lea - who describes how Don and him became 'paired' as early Slade songwriters It is hoped that copies will also be available for sale on the merchandise stall at Slade's Christmas UK tour. Music video[ edit ] Background and concept[ edit ] The music video for "Single Ladies" was shot immediately after that of "If I Were a Boy",  but it received less attention during production than the "higher-gloss, higher-profile video" for "If I Were a Boy".
